The Jammu & Kashmir Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (JKBOCW) provides multiple welfare schemes for construction workers and their families. All applications are submitted online. Below is the detailed list of major schemes with full benefits, eligibility, and application notes.
🏅 Merit Award
Meritorious Award Scheme 🎓For students with 90%+ in Class 10 or 12
One-time
Students who secure 90% or more marks in Class 10 or 12 and are dependents of a valid JKBOCW labour card holder can apply for the Meritorious Award. It’s a one-time benefit per labour card during its lifetime. Apply online carefully as duplicate claims are not accepted.
💍 Marriage Aid
Financial Assistance for Marriage 💒Rs. 50,000 — Males & Females
₹50,000
Registered workers or their dependents can apply for Rs. 50,000 as financial assistance for marriage. Application must be submitted online either within two months before or not later than two months after the date of marriage.
🏥 Treatment Aid
Financial Assistance for Chronic Diseases 💊Rs. 1,50,000
₹1,50,000
For workers or dependents suffering from chronic diseases or long-term medical conditions, JKBOCW provides up to Rs. 1,50,000 as financial aid for treatment. The application must be filed online with valid proof of diagnosis.

Medical Assistance & Disability Grant 🧑🦽Rs. 45,000
₹45,000
Registered construction workers or their dependents with medical issues or certified disabilities can receive Rs. 45,000 as a grant. The entire process is online and includes verification through medical records.
⚰️ Funeral
Payment of Funeral Assistance 🕊️Rs. 5,000
₹5,000
Families of registered workers are entitled to Rs. 5,000 as Funeral Assistance to meet immediate funeral expenses. This application must be filed online promptly after the worker’s death.
⚖️ Death Benefit
Payment on Death 🕯️Rs. 2,00,000
₹2,00,000
Upon the death of a registered worker, the nominee or legal heir can apply online for a Rs. 2,00,000 death benefit. Note that Funeral Assistance must be claimed first before this scheme can be processed.
