Pay Scales (As per Post)
- Assistant Commissioner / Principal: Level‑12 (Rs. 78,800 – 2,09,200). [file:1]

Eligibility – Educational Qualification (Brief)

- Assistant Commissioner / Principal / Vice‑Principal: Master’s Degree with at least 50% marks, B.Ed./integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed., relevant administrative/teaching experience as specified, along with working knowledge of Hindi, English and computer applications. [file:1]
- PGTs: Integrated PG degree or Master’s Degree with at least 50% marks in concerned subject plus B.Ed./integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed., and proficiency to teach in Hindi & English. [file:1]
- TGTs: Four‑year integrated degree or Graduation in concerned subject(s) with at least 50% marks plus B.Ed./special education as per post and qualified CTET Paper‑II for TGT (except some specialist posts). [file:1]
- PRT & Special Educator (PRT): 10+2 with at least 50% marks with 2‑year D.El.Ed./B.El.Ed./Special Education and CTET Paper‑I; Special Educator requires RCI‑approved qualification and valid registration. [file:1]
- Non‑Teaching Posts: Graduation/Commerce/Civil or Electrical Engineering/10th/12th, etc., with required experience, computer knowledge, stenography or typing skills depending on the specific post. [file:1]
Age Limit (Post-wise Upper Age)
- Assistant Commissioner (KVS): Not exceeding 50 years. [file:1]
- Assistant Commissioner (Academics) NVS: Not exceeding 45 years. [file:1]
- Principal: 35 to 50 years. [file:1]
- Vice‑Principal (KVS): 35 to 45 years. [file:1]
- PGT / PGT (CS/PE/MIL): Not exceeding 40 years. [file:1]
- TGT / Special Educator (TGT): Not exceeding 35 years. [file:1]
- PRT / Special Educator PRT / PRT Music: Not exceeding 30 years. [file:1]
- Administrative Officer: Not exceeding 45 years. [file:1]
- Finance Officer / Assistant Engineer / Assistant Section Officer / Junior Translator: Not exceeding 35 or 30 years as per post. [file:1]
- Senior Secretariat Assistant / Steno / JSA / Lab Attendant / MTS: Upper age generally 27–30 years depending on post. [file:1]

Selection Process
- Two‑tier examination (Tier‑1 & Tier‑2) is followed by Interview and/or Skill Test depending on the post. [file:1]
- For posts with interview, final merit is prepared with weightage of 85% marks of Tier‑2 + 15% marks of Interview. [file:1]
- For posts with skill test only, merit is based on Tier‑2 marks subject to qualifying the skill test (typing/shorthand/CPT). [file:1]
- For some Group B/C posts, merit is based only on Tier‑2 marks without interview or skill test. [file:1]
Tier‑1 is a preliminary qualifying examination (objective OMR) including sections of General Reasoning, Numeric Ability, Basic Computer Literacy, General Knowledge and language competency. [file:1]
Tier‑2 is a Subject Knowledge Examination (objective + descriptive) of 2 hours, with negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer in objective part; detailed subject‑wise syllabus is provided in the official notification and on KVS/NVS websites. [file:1]
How to Apply Online
- Visit only official websites: https://www.cbse.gov.in, https://kvsangathan.nic.in and https://navodaya.gov.in. [file:1]
- Fill the online application form carefully, upload latest photograph and signature in required format and pay the fee online. [file:1]
- Generate and download the confirmation page; keep a printout safely for future reference. [file:1]
- No printout has to be sent to CBSE/KVS/NVS; all documents will be verified at later stages. [file:1]
Important Instructions
- Candidates must ensure eligibility (age, education, CTET, experience etc.) as on the closing date i.e. 11 December 2025. [file:1]

- Selected candidates are liable to be posted anywhere in India and will be on probation for two years, extendable as per rules. [file:1]
