Eligibility Criteria
- Domicile: Must be a domicile of Jammu & Kashmir UT with valid certificate as of 6 January 2026
- Age Limit: As on 1 January 2025
- Open Merit: Maximum 40 years
- Reserved categories and Ex-Servicemen: Relaxations apply up to 48 years
- Educational Qualification: Graduation in any stream with minimum 50% marks for Open Merit and 45% for Reserved categories. Postgraduates with 50% marks or PhD holders also eligible.
Reservation and Relaxation
Reservation is applicable as per Jammu & Kashmir Reservation Act and rules. Valid certificates must be uploaded by the application deadline.
Application Fee
- Rs. 600 for General category
- Rs. 500 for SC, ST, EWS, and PwBD candidates
- Fee payment is online only and non-refundable
Examination Details
The examination will be objective type multiple choice questions in English only. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks per wrong answer. The detailed syllabus will be available on the JKSSB website.
PwBD Candidate Provisions
PwBD candidates may avail compensatory time and use a scribe if medically certified. The scribe must have lower qualifications than the candidate and must submit an undertaking.
Document Verification
Shortlisted candidates must bring original documents for verification including domicile, qualification, and category certificates. Failure to produce documents leads to disqualification.
Important Instructions
- Only one application per candidate per post is allowed.
- Applications with incorrect or incomplete information will be rejected.
- No offline/paper applications will be accepted.
- Candidates must upload clear photograph and signature.
- Any fraudulent act will lead to disqualification and legal action.
