Educational Qualification
Candidates must have a 4-year B.E. or B.Tech degree in any of the following streams:
- Computer Science Engineering
- Electronics & Communication Engineering
- Telecommunication Engineering
- Information Technology
- Mechatronics
- Data Science
- Electrical & Electronics Engineering
- Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
- Cyber Security
Age Limit (as on 01 January 2025)
- Minimum: 18 years
- Maximum: 28 years (relaxations applicable for reserved categories and ex-servicemen)
Physical Standards
Physical Standard Test (PST)
- Males: Height minimum 5'6", Chest 32" unexpanded, 33" expanded
- Females: Height minimum 5'2"
- Relaxation of 2 inches in height for Gorkha and Bot Tribe candidates
Physical Endurance Test (PET)
- Males: 1600 meters run in 6 to 6.5 minutes, 20 push-ups
- Females: 1000 meters run in 6 to 6.5 minutes, Shot put (4 kg) 14 feet in 3 attempts
Relaxed standards apply for ex-servicemen based on age group.
Selection Process
- Written Exam (Objective MCQs in English) with negative marking (1/4th per wrong answer)
- NCC Certificate holders get bonus marks (5%, 3%, or 2% based on level)
- Qualifying PST and PET tests
- Document Verification and Medical Examination
Reservation and Other Details
- Reservation as per Jammu and Kashmir Reservation Rules including for women and ex-servicemen
- Persons with benchmark disabilities (PwBD) are not eligible
- Valid domicile certificate of UT J&K required before application close date
